Welcome back to the Summer Term 2025

Welcome back to the Summer Term 2025

Christ is risen, alleluia!

Dear brothers and sisters, Happy Easter!

Today at last, the singing of the “alleluia” is heard once more in the Church, passing from mouth to mouth, from heart to heart, and this makes the people of God throughout the world shed tears of joy.

From the empty tomb in Jerusalem, we hear unexpected good news: Jesus, who was crucified, “is not here, he has risen” (Lk 24:5). Jesus is not in the tomb, he is alive!

Love has triumphed over hatred, light over darkness and truth over falsehood. Forgiveness has triumphed over revenge. Evil has not disappeared from history; it will remain until the end, but it no longer has the upper hand; it no longer has power over those who accept the grace of this day.

Pope Francis Urbi et Orbi 2025

We'd also like to wish you all a Happy Easter!  Christ is Risen!  He is truly risen!

Pope Francis RIP

Loving and Merciful God,
At 7:35 this morning, Your faithful servant, the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the home of the Father.  His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and of His Church.  We thank You for his example—a true disciple of the Lord Jesus—who showed us how to live the values of the Gospel with faithfulness, courage, and universal love.

He reminded us to love especially the poorest and most marginalised, and to be fearless in our faith.

As a school family of parents, children, and staff, help us to follow in his footsteps:
to be kind, to be brave, to care for one another, and to live each day with hearts open to You.

May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.  Amen

Mr Rushe to run the London Marathon for the NSPCC

Mr. Rushe, one of our Year 3 teachers, will be running the London Marathon in support of the NSPCC next Sunday the 27th April. Mr. Rushe would greatly appreciate any donations you can offer to help raise funds for this incredible cause. Your generosity will go a long way in supporting the important work the charity does. If you would like to donate then please follow this link or scan the QR code below.

Uniform Trial

It's summer uniform from now until the October half term and during this time we want to continue with our uniform trial.

Summer dresses become optional during this trial and girls can wear a white polo shirt (with or without logo) with grey shorts, grey trousers or grey skorts or a summer dress (as now with many wearing shorts underneath so that they can still be active).  Boys should wear a polo shirt (with or without logo) with grey 'school trousers' or 'school shorts'.  Ties are not worn with polo shirts.

EYFS (nursery and reception) children are not part of this trial and should continue to wear their current uniform.  There are no changes to the Y1-6 PE kits either.

Scouting Uniform on 23rd

On Wednesday 23rd (St George's Day has been moved as it's Easter Wednesday) we will continue to encourage children in Scouting organisations to come into school in these uniforms.
