Weekly update for 9th January 2026 - The Baptism of the Lord
Father,
at the Baptism of the Lord you opened the heavens and proclaimed,
“This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
As we remember Jesus standing in the waters of the Jordan,
help us also remember our own baptisms,
when we were claimed as your beloved children
and called to live in your light.
Renew in our school community a spirit of faith, courage, and joy,
that we may follow Christ and share your love with the world.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Achievement Awards Assembly
The next Achievement Awards Assembly is on Monday 12th January. These assemblies celebrate the children’s successes outside of school and in school too. We would love every child to bring in any certificates, medals or trophies they have been awarded so we can recognise their achievements with the whole school. Please ensure items are clearly named and brought to school with your child on the morning of the assembly — if an item is small or valuable, please hand it to the class teacher for safekeeping. We look forward to celebrating their achievements together!
Operation DIY
Operation DIY challenges the children to complete as many of the Operation DIY activities as they can over the next few weeks. You can see those challenges here. If you'd like a hard copy for the fridge door please ask your child's class teacher.
Uniform Survey
A reminder to take part in our uniform survey by completing the questions here. You've got until Friday 23rd January to take part.
Learning At Home
Will be uploaded over the weekend ready for next week. We recommend that children undertake the activities the evening before.
Arbor Parent App
Moving forward more of our school management will transfer from separate apps to the Arbor Parent App. Please take time to familiarise yourselves with it. Did you know that you can now notify us of your child's absence from school via the app. You can always update your contact details - that's important - so please give these a look to check your contact details on there.
By the end of this academic year we hope to be using the Arbor Parent App for all of our school management things.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
