YEAR 1 – 6 SPORTS DAY 2024 Friday 5TH JULY – REDLEES PARK
We will be running our KS1 and 2 sports day on Friday 5th July at Redlees Park. This event is always fantastic. In order for this event to run smoothly, we do need parent volunteers. Your role will be to to help set up on the day and assist with the running of an event. We will also have four members of staff from Let’s Leap. Once I have a list of helpers, I will arrange a meeting to go over the events and designate these to those helping on the day.
Please email reply@smi.hounslow.sch.uk with ‘Sports Day’ in the subject line if you are able to help.
More information on how the day will run will come out nearer to the day.

Walk to School Week Breakfast
As part of Walk to School Week, pupils from across the school received a free breakfast for travelling actively. A range of cereal bars, fruits and ice-cold drinks were on offer. The event continued to prove incredibly successful, with almost nothing left over!
St Mary’s will continue to take part in the WOW Walk to School Challenge. Pupils will receive specially designed badges for at least one active journey made, each week of the month.
Thank you to everyone who helped put the breakfast event together!

Year 2 visit to The Science Museum
Year 2 had a fantastic day out to The Science Museum in London. They had lots of opportunities to develop their understanding of life in space, the International Space Station and how spacecrafts have been sent to other planets. The children also explored the fantastic space gallery. All children behaved extremely well and had lots of fun. Well done year 2!
