Our Lady of Walsingham - Pray for us!

Parent Volunteers

Parents play a crucial role in supporting the development of children in the school and one way of doing this is volunteering to read with the children. If you are interested in coming in to school to support us with this, please contact reply@smi.hounslow.sch.uk with 'Parent Volunteers' in the subject line.  Please include your name, your child’s name and your availability in your email.

By half term, I aim to have allocated parents to year groups depending on the needs of each year. I will then be in contact after half term to confirm arrangements.  Thank you and we look forward to welcoming you into the school.

Mr. Cobbold

Pre-loved Uniform

If you have any pre-loved uniform taking up space we'd love to have it to add to the stocks in school.  Please drop it in - after giving it a wash.  We are planning on holding a couple of pre-love uniform events nearer to the half term.  If you can help please contact the office on reply@smi.hounslow.sch.uk with 'Pre-loved Uniform events' in the subject line.  Thanks for you support!

Online Parent Courses

The following courses are being run by the council:

Parking - again!

We recently had a visit from the council's head parking officer who is now planning a strategy to help support more considerate parking.  The best advise remains - don't drive if at all possible and if you have to park away from school.

Unfortunately we have also had a couple of complaints about parking since we've been back to school.  You will have seen that those who park inconsiderately will have photos shared via the app and with the council too.  Please everyone!  Support us in this by parking in a safer way!

Weekly Attendance - week ending

In August the law around school attendance changed. We work closely with the local authority to support good attendance and to challenge when attendance needs to improve. Please help by making sure your child is in school everyday.

Well done to children in Guadalupe, Walsingham, Knock, Doncaster, Carmel, Ipswich, Rome, Lourdes, Fatima, Czestochowa, Westminster, Rosary and Loreto!

Maths Band Battle on Times Table Rockstars

On week 5 of this half-term students will take part in the ‘St. Marys Maths Bands battle’. This means that they will have the chance to show off their Maths skills on Times Table Rockstars. Every correct answer they give on any multiplication or division game they play will win their class points. The class with the most points by the end of the week will win the Maths bands battle! This class will also win an ‘own clothes day’ for the whole class. The competition will run from 30th September to the 6th October 2024. Good luck everyone and keep rocking at those Times Tables.
