St Mary's The Wednesday Word - Leader
Dear Parents and Carers,
This Sunday is the last in the Church's year. It is the day on which we celebrate the feast of Christ the King. This feast presents a golden opportunity for us to make a new start with Jesus - the Universal King. It is a celebration to which all are warmly invited.
The Gospel reminds us that Jesus' kingship is not one of political power, crowns and splendour, but one of peace and truth. He is not an earthly king - his kingdom is heaven.
Jesus stands up for God's true values of love and forgiveness and leads us into the truth. He also reveals to us the truth about ourselves.
Enjoy a very special time together this evening, hearing your child's thoughts about this Sunday's Gospel and this Wednesday's word, which is LEADER.
