The Wednesday Word - Faith

Dear Parents and Carers,

This Sunday we celebrate the Feast of two great saints who have helped to share faith throughout the world, St Peter and St Paul.

In this Sunday’s Gospel, Peter professes his faith in Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus then gives Peter the important task of leading the Church – a duty which is now undertaken by Pope Leo XIV, the current successor of St Peter. 

Helping our children to grow in faith, to know and to love God, is one of the greatest gifts we can give them. Faith in God transforms how we see the world and helps us to keep growing in our love for each other too.
