Red Weather Warning - Wednesday 9am - Thursday 9pm

A Red Heatwave Warning has been issued from 9am Wednesday to 9pm on Thursday.

We do not have air conditioning in our nursery or reception classrooms we are therefore offering parents of those children the opportunity of collecting their child/ren at 11:45am on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

As young children are vulnerable to very high temperatures we are also offering parents of these children the opportunity to keep their child/ren at home on Wednesday and Thursday. Please let us know by emailing reply@smi.hounslow.sch.uk with 'Heatwave pick up' in the subject line if you are going to take up either of these offers.

Your child's attendance percentage will not be impacted.

All other classes have air con and children in Y1-6 should be in school as normal.  We will cut back outdoor activity on Tuesday and not have any on Wednesday or Thursday.
