Prayer for Pope Francis

God, you are like a loving shepherd who takes care of all your people.

Please bless your servant Francis, who you have chosen to lead your Church.

Help him to guide and care for your people with his words and actions. Let him be a good example so that everyone he leads can grow closer to you.

We ask this through Jesus, your Son, who lives and rules with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
