Attendance Letters Spring 2023

If your child’s attendance has been below 90% this academic year or they have been late repeatedly you will soon receive a letter informing you that their attendance and/or punctuality needs to improve and that we will be monitoring it in partnership with the local authority.

The vast majority of you have the School App and you can check and monitor your own child’s attendance on this app too.

Attendance at St Mary’s is always very good and we know that you understand the importance of children being in school. They can’t learn as well if they aren’t and even more importantly we can’t check on them and make sure that they are safe.

For these reasons the Government set schools’ attendance guidelines and we work with the council and the Education Welfare Officers to monitor each child’s attendance.
